The Autumn Equinox Ritual
– begins March 20, 2008 @ 6:04 GMT. We will begin the ritual March 19, 2008 @ 18:04 GMT; 12 hours before the actual equinox begins. On California time; the ritual will begin March 19, 2008 @ 10:04 AM PST.
This celebration is observed with a harvest feast to celebrate and share the abundance of the past season.
The Autumn Ritual is based on the northern hemisphere’s Vernal Equinox (Spring Equinox), which occurs the day, nearest March 21, when night and day are nearly the same length and corresponds to the center of the Sun crossing the celestial equator moving northward. The Vernal Equinox marks the first day of the season of Spring in the northern hemisphere.
The right ascension at the Vernal Equinox originally was in the constellation Aries and the point of crossing was known as the first point in Aries (now it is actually in Pisces because of precession).
Traditionally, this celebration was observed with a harvest feast to celebrate and share the abundance of the past season. And a time when the plants are setting their seeds; making themselves ready for their new cycle. This ritual is all about harvesting ALL the Universe has waiting for you. And for assisting you to use this time to balance yourself and your life; setting yourself and your life to be ready for your new cycle of being. Remember everything that is placed on one side of the scale has to have something else placed on the other side. Thus, this ritual assists in creating and maintaining that balance; using this time to look closely at the balance in your life and shifting what needs to be shifted or changing what needs to be changed. How do you balance your personal needs with your commitments to the outside world? How do you receive? How do you give? How do you hold on to that which is no longer beneficial in your life? You might want to reflect on this in a journal or make it concrete by putting objects on a scale. For everything which represents one side of the scale to you (for instance, a book representing quiet time alone), place something on the other side which represents its opposite (a letter or phone for reaching out to friends). If your scale is out of balance then this ritual can assist you to bring yourself and your life back into balance; thus harvesting more peace of mind, joy, prosperity, happiness; and less loneliness, chaos, confusion and frustration. A time to plant the seeds making yourself ready for your new cycle.
Some people have asked how the ritual is done and what they need to do. So I thought I would give you some more insight.
WHAT WE DO: MariaSuzonne, myself, and 4 others begin with a cleansing of my home and ourselves using herbs, soaps, incense and healings. Then we meditate, pray & chant mantras together calling on the saints, masters, your angels and spirit guides to assist and bless your ritual. Then we begin the individual rituals, which takes about an hour per person’s ritual.
We start with your St. Nicholas of Flue (patron of Switzerland; home of the ‘United’ Nations) Candle, the St. Raphael Candle (the saint of healing), and herbs. We also burn the brown image candle, the yellow pyramid candle and the first knob of the green 7 knob candle.
Several hours later we begin lighting the rest of your candles (except your Royal Blue 7 knob candle). The Royal Blue 7 knob candle will be lit on the third day. Each of day of the ritual we meditate, pray & chant mantras over your set of candles. We do this as long as any candle is still burning.
HOW THE CANDLES BURN:
Your religious candles burn between 7 and 8 days; your pyramid candle takes about 6 to 7 days; your 7 knob candles are burnt at a rate of 1 knob each day, your astrology candle burns for 7 days and the image candles take about 8 to 8 hours to complete. You can imagine what my home is like with all these candles burning and that is not including the candles burning for other rituals. It is amazing over all the years I have never had a need to call the fire department. (God protects. TYWG)
WHAT YOU DO:
You will also be asked to make three lists (the journal):
1 – the things you grateful for in your life. Through the ritual these will be renewed and enhanced in your life.
2 – the things you want to bring into your life
3 – the things you want released from your life
Then just relax and allow the ritual to work for you. You may also be interested in doing some affirmations that would enhance the ritual as well as your life. REGARDING SPOUSES/COUPLES: Though you are spouses or a couple you are still separate people. You may have common goals, yet you each have your personal goals, also. As such, couples order one and a rounded off half rituals (almost the same as “buy one; get the second for half price”).Therefore the fee for spouse or couples would be $630.00 instead of $840.00. That gives you a break in the fee and also gives you both your individual rituals. When we do rituals for individuals we make sure that each person’s ritual is at least 5 feet away from another person’s ritual. However, with couples we have the rituals about 2.5 feet apart. This works to cover the common desires and still has the separation to cover each person’s individual desires. (The SPECIAL OFFER is for couples, only.)
