| The 2017 Autumn Equinox
begins September 22, 2017 @ 20:02 GMT. We commence preparation for the ritual 12 hours before the actual equinox begins, September 22, 2017 @ 8:02 AM PDT. GMT does not implement During Daylight Savings Time therefore California is 7 hrs behind GMT. Thus the ritual will begin September 22, 2017 @ 1:02 AM PDT. We perform the Autumn Equinox ritual to assist you to harvest ALL the Universe has for you; balancing your life in preparation of a brand new cycle. Traditionally, this celebration was observed with a harvest feast to celebrate and share the abundance of the past season. And a time when the plants are setting their seeds; making themselves ready for their new cycle. This ritual is all about harvesting ALL the Universe has waiting for you. And for assisting you to use this time to balance yourself and your life; setting yourself and your life to be ready for your new cycle of being. Remember everything that is placed on one side of the scale has to have something else placed on the other side. Thus, this ritual assists in creating and maintaining that balance; using this time to look closely at the balance in your life and shifting what needs to be shifted or changing what needs to be changed. How do you balance your personal needs with your commitments to the outside world? How do you receive? How do you give? How do you hold on to that which is no longer beneficial in your life? You might want to reflect on this in a journal or make it concrete by putting objects on a scale. For everything which represents one side of the scale to you (for instance, a book representing quiet time alone), place something on the other side which represents its opposite (a letter or phone for reaching out to friends). If your scale is out of balance then this ritual can assist you to bring yourself and your life back into balance; thus harvesting more peace of mind, joy, prosperity, happiness; and less loneliness, chaos, confusion and frustration. A time to plant the seeds making yourself ready for your new cycle. The date of the Autumn Equinox corresponds to the center of the Sun crossing the celestial equator moving southward. It is also based on the day closest to the first day of Autumn (September 21st) when night and day are nearly of the same length and it marks the first day of Autumn. Some people have asked how the ritual is done and what they need to do. So I thought I would give you some more insight. WHAT WE DO: We will gather 12 hours before we begin the rituals. That is when myself, MariaSuzonne, and 4 others cleanse my home and ourselves with herbs, incense and healings. Once cleansed and balanced we request the angels, saints, masters & spirit guides to assist in the ritual. We then prepare for the next step of the ritual: we begin our meditations, prays, & chant mantras until it is time to begin each person’s individual ritual. We first start with the St. Matthew – Apostle and Evangelist candle. Then we begin the St. Thomas de Villanova candle. We also begin each person’s brown image candle, the Olive Green pyramid candle and the Autumn Gold 7 knob candle. Several hours after we begin the candles listed above we light the rest of the candles for each person’s ritual; with the exception of the Autumn Gold Pyramid candle, which is lit on the 2nd day of the ritual. Each day we are meditating, chanting, and praying over your candles along with the saints, the masters, your angels, & your spirit guides. We do this as long as any candle is still burning.
